Best smelling doggie shampoo...ever!

I have tried a zillion shampoos on my dogs, ok well maybe just about a hundred. Either way, I have tried all kinds, all brands, all scents, and all types that claim to do "wonderful" things. I have finally found a brand that rocks!!

Animal Pharmaceutical, they are only available through your vet office. They have some really awesome shampoos! They have regular ones and also ones that are medicated. The medicated shampoos have to be prescribed by your vet, but this line is really worth the money. Just to name a few they have Aloe & Oatmeal, Sun-Ripened Raspberry, and Sweet Pea & Vanilla. They all smell like stuff from the Bath & Body Works! Plus, they leave my dogs coats really soft and shiny.

If your vet carries these get one and try it! Let me know if you have used any of the Animal Paramedicals products fill me in with your thoughts! Til next time!

Need to clear out the stash...

So, I came up with a plan. I have so many polishes that I need to try out and see if I like them or need to swap them. The plan is to go through a color a day, and a color scheme a week. For instance, last week I wore all blues. This week I am doing purples. This keeps me on track and focused! I am snapping pics as I go, and plan on posting them by the week.

As of right now I have gone through a bunch of polish and my swap stash is growing!! Out with the old in with the new I say!! So many new things I want to get, if I don't make room how will I justify it to myself :)

Just about done with week 2 and next week will be greens!! Have a great weekend :)

Happy Fourth of July!!!

I hope everyone stays safe this holiday. Please don't do anything stupid with fireworks or drinking and driving...smooches!!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink

I am totally in a glitter mood!! I love this glitter combo pink, blue, and gold...it rocks! I decided to leave my nails short. I can't grow them out much longer than this. Due to the nature of my job, they just get in the way...so, I am trying to get use to shorter nails. Plus what I realized is, when they are shorter I am less likely to bit them :) Win, win situation!!

Yummy Yummy to my Tummy!!

I made some yummy food the other night. I went online to Sandra Lee's page on Foodnetwork.com. I am really a big fan of hers because everything is so tasty and quick to make. I don't have a lot of time during the week to make dinner. By the time I get off work, go to the gym, pick the dogs up from puppy care, and then even get home, it is late. So I need quick and easy meals to prepare. This is where her recipes come in at.

Semi-Homemade yumminess...I haven't made anything yet from her books that wasn't delicious!! I made a chili recipe that was super, so I wanted to pass it on! It is called Southwestern Turkey Chili with Cornbread...check it out!!

Ingredients
Cornbread:
Nonstick vegetable cooking spray
1 (11-ounce) can Mexicorn
1 egg
1 (8 1/2-ounce) package corn muffin mix

Chili:
10 ounces lean ground turkey, crumbled
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes
2 (14 1/2-ounce) can spicy black beans
1/4 cup tomato paste
Sour cream, for garnish
Chopped fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Chopped red onion, for garnish

Cornbread:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Directions
Spray an 8 by 8 by 2-inch baking pan with nonstick spray. Drain all but 2 tablespoons liquid from Mexicorn. Place reserved 2 tablespoons liquid in a medium bowl. Add egg to liquid and whisk to blend. Stir in Mexicorn. Add corn muffin mix and stir until just combined. Transfer mixture to prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, about 20 minutes.

Chili:
Meanwhile, in a large resealable bag, toss turkey with flour until flour is absorbed into meat. Heat oil in a wide 2-quart pot over medium heat. Add turkey and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Crush the canned tomatoes by hand and add tomatoes and liquid. Add beans and tomato paste. Simmer over medium-low heat until chili is slightly thick, about 8 minutes. Spoon chili into bowls. Top with sour cream, cilantro, and onion. Serve hot with corn bread.

NOTD: Nail Art

I wanted to try out the Sally Hansen Nail Art pens that I got a few days ago. I used Maybelline Onyx polish as the base, then used the light pink, silver, and white pens to make little polka dots. The pens work really well and dry fast.

I painted my nails then applied my topcoat and let them dry. Then I used the pens to make the little dots and let that dry. As soon as they were dry I applied another topcoat and they were good to go!! I also got the black nail art pen.

I am going to be working on some new designs shortly!! I am glad I am not biting my nails anymore :) Til next time!!

NOTD: China Glaze Watermelon Rind

I chose China Glaze Watermelon Rind for my mani today. I have had this color for a few weeks and have had it on my "to try" list! What a gorgeous color! The glass flecks really look super awesome. This color came out with the Summer Days collection. It's a blue green color, that is so pretty and perfect for summer!

Check out e-tailers and Sally's Beauty Supply for the entire collection. I also added some black acrylic jewels to my ring fingers, just for a little "umph".

My nails are finally starting to grow out some. So with them growing out, and my new camera, I am ready to do some more photos! Stay tuned!!

Art Show on a Saturday!

Today we went to an art show that comes in to town once a year. It's a pretty big art show, it draws artists and patrons from all over! There was some really cool and unique artists here today. I wanted to pass on a few pics and links to check out.

Of course, they had tons of yummy food, beer, and music. Really, it was a gorgeous day, couldn't ask for better weather, and a better turn out! Lots of people came out today and supported these artists. Hope you all had a great day in whatever adventures you embarked on today!!

Check out these talented artists, these are just a couple that really caught my eye:
